Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026
Last updated: October 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Life Design Duo, LLC ("Life Design Duo," "we," "us"), owned by Kip and Lora Brown, collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit lifedesignduo.com, book a consultation, join our coaching or group mastermind, subscribe to our newsletter or blog, receive email or text messages from us, or pay for our services.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you fill out a form, sign up for our newsletter, or book a calendar appointment.
  • Project and coaching details: information you choose to share about your home, design goals, or coaching goals, including photos or notes you send us.
  • Payment information: when you pay, your card details are entered with our payment processors (Stripe and our website platform, HighLevel). We receive limited details such as your name, the amount paid, and the last four digits of your card. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: emails, text messages, and other messages you send us.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, language, referring site, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies, analytics, and advertising" below).

2. How we use your information

  • To schedule and hold consultations, coaching sessions, and mastermind meetings, and to send related reminders by email or text.
  • To provide our services, answer questions, and send invoices and receipts.
  • To send our newsletter, blog updates, and occasional offers if you signed up (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it, including through analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings.
  • To measure and, if we run ads, deliver and measure advertising for our services.
  • To keep our site and business secure, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business and who may use it only to provide services to us, such as:

  • HighLevel (website, forms, booking calendars, CRM, email and text messaging)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Google (Google Analytics 4 website analytics)
  • Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity heatmaps and session recordings)
  • Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel and Conversions API, if and when we use them for advertising and measurement)
  • Telecommunications carriers and messaging providers that deliver our text messages

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others; or as part of a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy.

We do not sell your personal information. If we use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel or Meta Conversions API, information about your visits and actions on our site may be shared with Meta for ad targeting and measurement. Under California law this can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described in Your Privacy Choices. We do not publish your messages or requests.

4. Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and check the box to receive text messages, you agree to receive texts from Life Design Duo, such as appointment confirmations and reminders and replies to your questions. If you separately opt in to marketing texts, we may also send occasional promotional messages, such as book launches and holiday specials. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

5. Email

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor requests promptly (within 10 business days). Our emails identify Life Design Duo and include our mailing address. Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send messages about appointments, purchases, or services you requested.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Cookies are small files a website stores on your browser. We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for the following:

  • Essential and platform cookies: our website platform, HighLevel, uses cookies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and track form and booking activity, and provides built-in site analytics.
  • Google Analytics 4: measures site traffic and how visitors use our pages (such as pages viewed, time on site, device, and approximate location). Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity: records heatmaps and session recordings of how visitors move, click, and scroll on our pages so we can improve the site. Form inputs are masked so what you type is not captured. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement.
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API (possible future use): if we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, we may use the Meta Pixel on our site and the Conversions API from our systems to send Meta information about visits and actions (such as form submissions or bookings) to show you relevant ads and measure their results. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.

How to opt out: you can set your browser to block or delete cookies, though some features, such as forms or booking, may not work properly. You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can control ads you see on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta ad preferences. You can also opt out of sharing as described in Your Privacy Choices.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for these signals, our website does not currently respond to them. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals: when your browser sends one, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your Privacy Choices

We do not sell personal information. If we use advertising pixels, California residents (and anyone else who asks) can opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Do Not Share," or by turning on Global Privacy Control in a supported browser. We will honor your request and will not discriminate against you for making it.

8. Your choices: review, correct, or delete

You may ask us to review, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing, by emailing [email protected] or writing to us at the address below.

9. Your California privacy rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). While these laws may not apply to a business of our size, we honor the following requests in good faith for California residents:

  • Right to know: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
  • Right to delete: personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for taxes).
  • Right to correct: inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information and have not done so in the past 12 months. If we use advertising pixels, you may opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in Your Privacy Choices, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny service, charge different prices, or treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address); commercial information (services purchased, payment records); internet activity (pages viewed, site interactions); and any details you choose to share about your home or goals. Sources: you directly, and automatically from your device. We disclose these categories to the service providers listed above for the business purposes described in this policy. If we use advertising pixels, identifiers and internet activity may be shared with Meta for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How to make a request: email [email protected] or write to us at the address below. We will verify your request by matching the information you provide with the information we hold, and we will respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority.

Shine the Light: California residents may ask once per year whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not.

10. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy: generally for as long as you are a client or subscriber, and afterward as needed for legal, tax, and accounting requirements or to resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You may ask us to delete it sooner, as described above.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, and we rely on reputable providers such as Stripe and HighLevel that use encryption to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will also notify you by email or with a notice on our website before the change takes effect.
